Kai started his career in 2009 by working with GDH (GTH) the acclaimed film studio in Thailand, he wrote two feature film scripts; "Suckseed" and "May Who?" which are both well received in box office and film festivals all across Asia.
In 2015, Kai decided to pursue his master's degree in Social Documentary Film at School of Visual Arts, New York. His short documentary "Alex" was shortlisted for the 2017 BAFTA Student Films Awards and screened on 60 Second Docs. His first feature documentary "2,215" won several major film awards in Thailand. His second feature "Come and See" is officially selected for the Wide Angle Documentary Competition at Busan International Film Festival 2019.
In 2019, Kai co-found underDOC film, a Bangkok-based production company focusing in non-fiction films. His commercial works won several major advertising awards such as Cannes Lions, Spikes Asia, DA&D, etc. In 2021 he worked as scriptwriter and co-director for "One for the Road", a feature film produced by Wong Kar Wai. The film won World Cinema Dramatic Special Jury Award: Creative Vision at Sundance Film Festival 2021.
His latest work, "MAD UNICORN," a limited series for Netflix that he wrote and directed, reached rank 4 on global non-English shows in 2025.
